Wishing all of you a very Happy Diwali and a Prosperous New Year (I know it's too late).
Unlike every year's zeal for the biggest festival in India, the enthusiasm around 2020's Diwali was a dampened one where people couldn't get together because of the pandemic.
So, to lift up the spirits & get back the lost smiles, I decided to celebrate by reviving an old ritual & surprised people by posting handmade cards filled with love and colors.
But this year it was my kids who made Diwali Cards and not me, I just assisted them. So here is a creation by my 8-year-old daughter and 3-year-old son for their Naanu and Nani.
They used the Craftangles Lace Stencil for their card. My son created the background on Craftangles Natural White Cardstock with cotton dabbing technique using traditional shades. (Dabbing the cotton soaked in paints is a fine motor activity for pincer development for preschoolers). Instead of a stamped sentiment, the card was adorned by my daughter's calligraphy skills. Finally, I adhered the panel on a card base. It was an out of the box use of products, all credits to my daughter.
I feel so proud to upload my little one's creations on my blog.
I loved the outcome hope you all like it too.
Have a look at it.
Do leave some love in comments.
Thanks and Regards
