Diwali 2020

Hello Everyone,

Wishing all of you a very Happy Diwali and a Prosperous New Year (I know it's too late).

Unlike every year's zeal for the biggest festival in India, the enthusiasm around 2020's Diwali was a dampened one where people couldn't get together because of the pandemic.
So, to lift up the spirits & get back the lost smiles, I decided to celebrate by reviving an old ritual & surprised people by posting handmade cards filled with love and colors.

But this year it was my kids who made Diwali Cards and not me, I just assisted them. So here is a creation by my 8-year-old daughter and 3-year-old son for their Naanu and Nani.

They used the Craftangles Lace Stencil for their card. My son created the background on Craftangles Natural White Cardstock with cotton dabbing technique using traditional shades. (Dabbing the cotton soaked in paints is a fine motor activity for pincer development for preschoolers). Instead of a stamped sentiment, the card was adorned by my daughter's calligraphy skills. Finally, I adhered the panel on a card base. It was an out of the box use of products, all credits to my daughter.

I feel so proud to upload my little one's creations on my blog.

I loved the outcome hope you all like it too.

Have a look at it.

Do leave some love in comments.

MFT Card Design Superstar 2020 (Innovation Master)

 Hey Everyone!

I am here with my take for the Innovation Master Category of MFT Card Design Superstar 2020. This is the Most challenging event, I love this category as it takes you to a new world of Cardmaking.

I wanted to put my Christmas sELFies Stamp Set to use, though it still time for Christmas, but it gives me a jolly and merry feel. The stamp set is tempting too.

I created the Quadruple Slider Card for it and adorned it with the different selfies. I used the Stitched Square STAX Dienamics to die cut the images, colored the and added few effects to the elves then used the Wonky Stitches Squares STAX for creating the frames. Also used the tiny gift boxes and decorations to as embellishments. Heat embossed the corresponding Sentiments.

I feel so delighted when I am able to make use of each and every element from the stamp set.

See it in action

MFT Card Design Superstar 2020 (CAS)

Hey Everyone!

I’m back today with my entry in the Clean & Simple Genius category for the MFT 2020 Card Design Superstar Challenge. I love participating in card challenges, and this one just connects to me perfectly so I give it a try every year.

Have a look at it..

The step by step guide to create this card:
  • I used a mask cut with Stitched Arch Stax dienamics to cover my card.
  •  Placed the Small Brick Stencil in the negative portion to create a fireplace.
  •  Stamped and colored the Giraffe and Zebra from the BB Sweater Weather on Safari Stamp Set and cut them using the  BB Sweater Weather on Safari Dienamics.
  • Stamped the birthday sentiment, die cut the panel using Wonky Stitched Rectangle STAX and finally adhered it to Kraft color cardbase.
Another glimpse!!

A Close up!

Welcome Baby

"Pink and Grey " only.
My heart was reminded of the day my Princess was born. Pink and grey best suits to our Pretty Angels (daughters)😇.
A Special card for Special occassion!
A card designed to welcome little princess.

This is my first ever acetate card that too with heat embossing. I really enjoyed making this and I had so many learnings during the making of this card
(since it was all transparent, no chance of hiding your errors)😀.

Thanks - You are so Awesome

Hello Everyone..
I have a Thank you card today for all the Frontline workers who are serving us in this Pandemic.

Doctors, Nurses, Police, Grocers, Essential Workers, Medical Staff , Teachers ,Banking Personnel and all others who are working hard to keep us safe at home.

For this card I created my own background with coloured pens for a ruled look (Notebook Page). I made some watercolour blended patches and used my Alphabet dies to cut the word THANKS. Adhered some more elements to finish the card.

Happy Women's Day

Hello Everyone

This is my first ever Slimline Card and I am proud that I did it for a Special Event too that is International Women's Day Blog Hop.

Women!!! The Axis of each and everyone's Life. A woman plays multiple roles since her birth. With my today's card I have depicted the different roles she plays during her lifetime, though putting all her roles is beyond thought. The best part is she always underestimates her energies and strength.

For my card I have used Wplus9 Bubble talk stamp set . Bubbles are colored with distress inks and the roles are hand written. Ink blended the clouds and the hilly grass with stencils. Finally added some bubbles. Clear heat embossed the sentiment from Craftangles Beautiful Bloom Border Stamp Set.

Hope you all like it. Do leave some love in comments.

Happy 2020

Hello everyone

My first ever Made in Minute card, for I love Math Challenge. The date just skipped of my mind and I realised that it's the last day today. I didn't want to let it go. So I created this new year card in winter theme. The various Math elements I used are Shapes (square shaped card and circle masking) and Numbers too.

Hope you like it.
